There are a couple of programs/apps that increase the productivity of my teams and me by 100500%, especially in times of remote work. These are the 2020 top ones for hypergrowth startups, and it’s time to share them with the world)

1. 🔥Loom — best 2020 tool for asynchronous, but live communication. It’s a browser extension which lets you record the screen and the speaker in such an easy way, it looks like magic. When the recording is complete, you get a link you can share with colleagues and friends straight away. It’s a wonderful alternative for when you want to explain something, but don’t want to distract people with the call. They are also friends of Preply through the common investor — Point Nine

2. 🤗Grammarly — all of our communication at work is in English. Grammarly helps us keep it grammatically correct. The paid version also checks for Politeness, Inclusive language, and has many more awesome features. Moreover, it’s a startup with Ukrainian roots, and a client of Preply Enterprise❤️ . That’s why I also find using their product emotionally pleasing.

3. 💣Golinks.io is an irreplaceable tool for knowledge management. In simple words it’s an organiser for links and a tool for shortening names. The way it works is you have a dashboard https://wwww.blablacom/whateverbutverylongtext/2020xxx/hellodarknessmyoldfriend and sometimes you need to open, send it, et cetera. Golink lets you create a short link, like go/report which will only be available for your organisation. A great integration of Slack & full-text search. Way better than simple bookmarks.

4. ⌨️Notion.so is the best tool for knowledge management, writing text and noting thoughts. It just works for me. This post was also typed in Notion, by the way)

5. 🤙🏿Krisp.ai is for when you have a call but:
- you work from a coffee place
- your neighbour has suddenly put their rotary hammer to use
- Fluffy is meowing, Rover is barking
- you like to type during the call

Krisp is an irreplaceable app to cancel out all the noises in Zoom and other programs. The way it works is it replaces your mic/speakers with itself and uses AI to remove the odd sounds. Sometimes it lags, but overall it’s great.
